Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Samagra eKYC and Sambal Card registration.
Samagra eKYC is the process of linking your Aadhaar card to your Samagra ID through OTP verification. The Madhya Pradesh government uses this to verify your identity and prevent duplicate or fraudulent registrations. Sambal Card 2.0 mandates eKYC because benefits are transferred directly to your bank account — the government needs to confirm your identity before doing so.
The eKYC process itself takes about 5–10 minutes online at samagra.gov.in. However, after completing eKYC, it takes 24–72 hours for the verification to sync with the Sambal portal. Do not apply for Sambal Card immediately after eKYC — wait at least 48 hours to avoid rejection due to sync delay.
If OTP is not coming on your registered mobile number, first check if the number shown on the Aadhaar portal is correct. If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, you must visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra to update it — this cannot be done online. After updating, wait 2–3 days for the change to reflect before attempting eKYC again.
Yes. You can visit any Common Service Centre (CSC) or your Gram Panchayat office to complete eKYC with the help of an operator. The operator will use your Aadhaar biometric (fingerprint) instead of OTP. This is especially useful if your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar. Carry your original Aadhaar card and Samagra ID when visiting.
Visit samagra.gov.in and log in with your Samagra ID or family ID. Go to your profile page. If eKYC is complete, the profile will show a green verified status next to your Aadhaar number. If it shows pending or not linked, you need to complete eKYC before applying for Sambal Card.
A name mismatch between Aadhaar and Samagra will cause eKYC to fail. You need to correct the name in one of the two systems. It is easier to correct the name in Samagra — visit your nearest Gram Panchayat or CSC with your Aadhaar card and request a name correction in Samagra records. This typically takes 3–7 days to process.
