The accidental death benefit under Sambal Card 2.0 is ₹4 lakh paid to the registered nominee of the deceased worker. This is separate from the natural death benefit of ₹2 lakh. The claim must be filed within 1 year of the accident. A police FIR, post-mortem report, and death certificate are required along with nominee’s bank details.

The maternity benefit of ₹16,000 is paid in two instalments. The first instalment of ₹4,000 is paid before delivery (upon registration of pregnancy). The second instalment of ₹12,000 is paid after delivery and child registration. The benefit is available for up to 2 deliveries per woman worker.

Nominee registration is done during the Sambal Card registration process at the Sambal portal or CSC centre. You can nominate a spouse, child, or parent. The nominee must have a valid bank account for benefit transfer. You can update your nominee at any time by visiting the Sambal portal with your Samagra ID.

The education scholarship under Sambal Card ranges from ₹500 to ₹5,000 per year depending on the class. Class 1–8 students receive ₹500/year, class 9–10 receive ₹1,000/year, class 11–12 receive ₹2,000/year, and college/diploma students receive ₹5,000/year. Processing time varies by benefit type. Maternity benefits are typically credited within 30–45 days of application. Death and accident benefits may take 60–90 days due to verification requirements. Education scholarships are usually processed annually. If your claim is delayed beyond 90 days, file a grievance on the Sambal portal or contact the district labour office.

Yes, you can claim multiple benefits simultaneously if you are eligible for each. For example, a family can claim the education scholarship for children at the same time as the maternity benefit for the mother. However, death and accident benefits are mutually exclusive — only one can be claimed per death incident. All claims must be filed separately through the Sambal portal.
